Honor Walk Participant Gifts

Everyone participanting in the 2nd Annual Portlight/Weather Underground 2009 Honor Walk will receive a Commemorative T-Shirt...

Everyone raisng $200 or more...or making a personal contribution of $200 or more by the end of the year... will, through special arrangement with www.rainmanweather.com, receive a CR200 Weather RadioLink as tangible tokens of our deep appreciation for your support.

2009 2nd Annual Portlight/Weather Underground Honor Walk

When:
Saturday, December 5, 2009 or Sunday, December 6, 2009...or any day in this general vicinity which is convenient to you...

What:
A nationwide grassroots event to raise funds for and awareness of our ongoing
efforts…specifically to provide Christmas presents for kids and families
devastated by the recent Atlanta Area Flooding, SC Wildfires, American Samoa Tsunami and
other disasters that may occur.

Why:
Un-served, underserved and forgotten people are depending on us.

How:
We need 100 people across the country to commit to walking 1 mile on this day –
And to raise at least $300.00 in sponsorship from friends, family, co-workers,
neighbors, etc. Participants can choose where to walk…it can be the park, the mall
the neighborhood…anywhere you choose. The first 100 participants to raise at least
$300 will receive a commemorative T-Shirt.

Steve Melton (FLDART) has just returned from delivering a load of much needed supplies to the Baxter family in Lithia Springs, GA. We continue to help them financially...and with a host of needed ngoods donated by our Wunderground family. They have now found temporary housing and our next effort, in addition to some ongoing financial help, is to begin providing furniture for their home. These people lost everything.
